What’s your advice for designers settling into a new team or job?

Product ManagerSpend a solid month just listening and soaking in all the information you’re getting. Ask questions, even if you think they’re obvious and don’t put so much pressure on yourself to deliver something right away. Once you have perspective, then you can give your own and it will be much appreciated!

Design ManagerThe people around you want you to succeed, so lean on them for help as you get acquainted with the new company, team, or problem space. Use what you learn to set realistic milestones during your first 90 days so you can look back and feel confident in your meaningful progress.

Senior UX WriterBe gentle with yourself. Remote onboarding is a *whole thing* and making connections with colleagues and distributed teams takes a little finesse. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
