I used to think my job would dictate my skill set but in reality being curious and keeping an eye on parallel disciplines will give you a richer perspective. Take time away from your desk and look at what is out there so that you can then find the right moments to incorporate real-life experiences into your daily work.

Go deeper instead of wider. Keeping up with the latest emerging techniques and technologies can feel overwhelming, so look into what will help you grow in your expertise and what you enjoy. You don’t need to be an expert on everything.
