I used to think my job would dictate my skill set but in reality being curious and keeping an eye on parallel disciplines will give you a richer perspective. Take time away from your desk and look at what is out there so that you can then find the right moments to incorporate real-life experiences into your daily work.

Design ManagerGo deeper instead of wider. Keeping up with the latest emerging techniques and technologies can feel overwhelming, so look into what will help you grow in your expertise and what you enjoy. You don’t need to be an expert on everything.

Product Designer IIEmbracing the “always learning” mindset. There is an infinite amount of information surrounding us today and I remind myself to take advantage of it. Being open to new design tools and techniques, learning from design peers, as well as reflecting from my past experiences, are a few techniques in my arsenal to continue refining my craft.
